Valid Passport is required

Work Permit is valid for 1 year

Work Permit is NOT renewable, must re-apply every year

You can re-apply 1 month before your previous work permit expires

You may apply for Permanent Residency after receiving your 2nd work permit. To qualify applicants should not leave Belize for more than 14 days during the first year.

Recommendation from Belize Tourism Board or Relative Agency if the business is Tourism oriented. (We can arrange an appointment)

When your work permit is approved we will request a letter from the Income Tax and thereafter we will receive your work permit from the Immigration Department.
- You will be required to apply for your Social Security Card in the district you will conduct your business, we will provide you with the application form.

Note that when a company is applying for more than 1 work permit at the same time for the same company the 2nd application is charged at US $ 675.00 (as per re-application fee).
The Annual Fees to be paid to the Government upon approval of the permit remains at BZ $2,000.00 (US $1,000.00) in cash.
